Exterior Painting

Moisture in particular can damage exterior paint, clapboards and trim and cause rot. We can also provide just the preparatory work – which is one of the more difficult aspects of exterior painting – if you prefer to do your own painting. We have the tools, skills and expertise to prepare your building for painting (i.e., scraping, sanding, wood repair, etc.), in a way that the average homeowner cannot do. We can also provide repairs where needed.

Repair & Carpentry

It’s not uncommon for new owners of buildings, especially historic properties, to inherit areas of paint that have failed beyond the point of cleaning, scraping, and hand sanding. Some damage is not visible until the surface layer is removed. In other cases the damage may be located along an elevated area such as roof-line and does not become apparent until closer inspection from the vantage point of a ladder. That’s the bad news. The good news is with Momaney Painters, you won’t have to search for another contractor to do the repairs.

Lead Paint Removal

Are you worried that there might be lead paint in your home, office, apartment or facility? If you are living or working in an older building, especially one painted prior to 1978, it possibly contains lead paint.

Although some states allow you to do the work yourself, a contractor who is certified in lead paint removal is trained to do the job safely.

Momaney Painters is U.S. EPA certified to perform lead-safe paint work.

Encapsulation – involves brushing or rolling on a specially made paint-like coating that creates a watertight bond and seals in the lead-based paint.
Enclosure – the old surface is covered with a new one, such as drywall or aluminum or vinyl cladding.
Removal – wire brushing, hand scraping or sanding with liquid paint removers with a high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filtered vacuum.

Drywall & Plaster Repair

We provide high-quality expert drywall and plaster repair. Whether repairing water-damaged walls, fixing cracks and holes, or smoothing uneven surfaces, we restore your walls to a clean, durable finish before painting. We use reliable materials and careful preparation to ensure lasting results, with attention to detail in every step of the process.

Lift Work

Although we are not able to leap tall buildings in a single bound (with apologies to Superman), we have painted dozens of multi-story properties including town halls, schools and churches with high steeples.

We are adept at operating boom lifts, often referred to as cherry pickers, that allow us to access nearly impossible to reach areas where ladders and scaffolding are not an option. Areas that are difficult to access are no problem for our experienced team.
